At the beginning of the lock-down, running was more fun because I had lots of company from my family and other neighbors who either wanted to keep fit or just needed to get out of the house. I was in the last 3 weeks of my running program (even after repeating three different weeks to enable me run easier) It was fun, challenging and humbling. You know when you get back home and you stretch your feet up all day not because you worked hard for it but because the run whooped you!
Sometimes I feel that we meet certain people at the exact time we are prepared to receive them, same with the books we read. This book could not have been timelier for me especially with the privilege of starting a new company.
The goal is not to do business with everybody that needs what you have, the goal is to do business with everyone that believes what you believe.
Still in the celebratory atmosphere of our 4th anniversary, meet our MOST SIGNIFICANT POST … and it’s not because I am a lady. 🙂

I came across this book when I was on maternity leave with my first child, wondering if the workplace would still need me when I get back or if it was worth it to leave my bundle of joy for the hustle of work. It’s been 4 years since then and I am still growing strong in the workplace which may not have happened if I hadn’t read this book. It is for women who want to make impact and men who want to support that vision– Tosan A.

As the economic recession deepens, a lot has been said about the need for multiple streams of income. The real question for some is what skills do I need to create these extra streams? This book helps you rephrase the question to one that helps you to be a great part of the solution – What do you have in your house? – Tosan A.Continue reading “2019: What do you have in your house?”→
What does Bill Gates, Michael Jordan, Oprah and Beyoncé have in common besides the fact that they are crazy rich??? They all have TEAMS that work cohesively to make them shine so brightly that YOU are attracted to them.
We know so much about the value of leadership so much now and everyone wants to become a leader. Apart from leading one’s self, leaders need a team. Behind every successful person is a team of people working hard behind the scenes to make the person truly successful.
John C. Maxwell, author of the 21 irrefutable laws of leadership understands that teams are an essential part of leadership and vice versa, that’s why he has also done a study of teams in his book –
[BOOK REVIEW] THE 17 INDISPUTABLE LAWS OF TEAMWORK/ JOHN C. MAXWELL/ THOMAS NELSON INC. /2001/ 265 PAGES
The book has 17 chapters representing each law of teamwork. Each chapter has a story or research, or sometimes both to buttress the law being discussed. As usual, the author, John C. Maxwell uses easy-to-read English throughout the book and the stories make the laws stick and easy to understand. Continue reading “Do you know the Law of Significance?”→
When a preacher of over 30 years gets a message from God, that despite his thriving ministry, he has been limiting God, he sits up to understand HOW? In his understanding of how he limited God, he is able to share through his book, ways by which we limit God and how we can stop it. I don’t need 30 years to know that I have been limiting God in certain areas of my life, so when I saw the title of the book, I was drawn to it wanting to know how to stop putting God in a box.
When the enthusiasm for a new idea fades, when the passion cools, when the odds against you increase and the results diminish, when it looks as if success is impossible, will you maintain your intensity and keep going? Are you tenacious? This is the mark of people who actually achieve their dream.
We all have dreams big and small even intermediate which we hope will all turn out to be the next big thing or bring us 30 billion in the account. So how do we know we are on track? Everyone has said we should dream big, others have said íf we can think it, we can do it (I can still hear it in Mo Abudu’s voice) so how are we sure we can truly do it or are ready to bring our dreams to life.
My first attempt at reading this book was over two (2) years ago. I was still in the intro section when I dropped the book sad & very discouraged. Some questions were asked to get the reader’s understanding about where they were in readiness to achieve their dreams (called the Dream Test) and as I scrolled down I could already tell that my dreams were nowhere near being achieved. I was sad and discouraged (I repeat) or let’s just say I was downcast.
In the light of recent happenings in the nation, we have to wonder if truly anything good can come out of our country- Nigeria; but like in the Bible times, we will always have a few good things to be grateful for.
From the humble beginnings to the Global stage, we truly have some good to showcase and export from Nigeria. Our book for the month will encourage us to be among the few good people left to showcase Nigeria to the world.
